BUSINESSES will be mixing it up to celebrate Independents Week by taking part in the city’s first business swap.

Independents Week starts on Monday, July 4 and runs until Sunday, July 10.

As part of the swap businesses will be able to find out what it’s like to work for a different Salisbury indie.

Robin McGowan, Salisbury BID Chief Executive said: “We are proud of the strength of our city and its business community which is why we want to make sure the hard work of our wonderful indies are recognised during Independents Week. The vibrancy and uniqueness of our city is greatly enhanced because of them.”

Salisbury BID is also bringing back the limited edition Salisbury shopping bag. The bag will be free to shoppers spending more than £20 in participating independent businesses.

They will be available not just during Independents Week, but throughout July while stocks last.

Susi Mason, the owner of Casa Fina and Salisbury BID director, said: “Independents Week is upon us again, and we cannot wait to get involved in the fun. We will be offering the Salisbury shopping bag at Casa Fina and this year we will also be taking part in the city’s first business swap.

"I think it’s going to be a great way to showcase Salisbury’s wealth of independent businesses, businesses which make the city centre such a unique and special place.”
