A Second World War Spitfire is set to fly over Swindon to wow crowds at the Wiltshire Steam and Vintage Rally this weekend.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft is expected to make an appearance on Saturday and Sunday for the big event at Lydiard Park.

People hoping to catch a glimpse of the historic aircraft will be able to see it at 3.15pm on Saturday and 12.20pm on Sunday. Although those timings are subject to change.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

The rally has been organised by the Wiltshire Agricultural Protection Group.

Hundreds of vintage, steam, military and historic vehicles will be on display, along with entertainment, and local business stalls.

It is open from 9am until 5pm and there is free parking if you follow the brown signs for Lydiard Park, not Lydiard House/Hotel.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and free for U16s. Tickets can be bought on arrival.
