This year’s Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland has been released - and some Wiltshire restaurants made the list.

The list provides all the restaurants that have received and retained a Michelin star this year.

The Michelin Guide is produced by the French tyre company Michelin, which has been going since 1904 and can award up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments.

In this year's list, there are 19 new one stars, 5 new two stars and 1 new three-starred restaurant across the country.

Here are all the restaurants which have at least one Michelin star in Wiltshire in the 2022 run.

The Dining Room

Where: Easton Grey, Malmesbury, SN16 0RB, United Kingdom

Cuisine: Creative

Chef: Ricki Weston

The guide says: "Twelve acres of formal grounds surround this charming Cotswold stone house, which dates back to 1802 and offers lovely views out over the countryside.

"Head Chef Ricki Weston oversees both the elegant brasserie and the intimate dining room; for a special occasion book the latter, with its neutral décor and serene, romantic feel."

In addition to its retained star, it also has a green star for gastronomy and sustainability.

Where: West Street, Castle Combe, SN14 7HX, United Kingdom

Cuisine: Modern British

Chef: Robert Potter

The Michelin Guide says: "One of the last true country house hotels, this fine 14C manor house sits within 365 acres of formal gardens and parkland in a picture-postcard village. A sweeping drive leads up to the main building and the immensely charming interior features characterful oak panelling and a host of cosy open-fired lounges.
"Dining here is a very formal experience: drinks and snacks are served in the bar, before a set dinner in the cavernous dining room with its large feature wall, flower arrangements, leather chairs and immaculately laid solid oak tables.
"Sustainable home-grown and local produce plays a pivotal role in the cooking, which results in a flavoursome blend of simple and more luxurious ingredients. Dishes are precisely prepared and arrive in refined, tried-and-tested combinations with modern overtones."

Restaurant Hywel Jones at Lucknam Park

Where: Colerne, SN14 8AZ, United Kingdom

Cuisine: Modern British

Chef: Hywel Jones

The Guide writes: "A mile-long tree-lined drive sets the scene as you approach this grand Palladian mansion. Rich, elegant décor, luxurious furnishings and sumptuous fabrics feature throughout, from the beautiful bedrooms to the drawing rooms where pre-meal drinks are enjoyed. This is country house dining at its finest – opulent, formal and sophisticated – and it suits the grand environment.
"Hywel Jones has been at the helm since 2004 and his experience shows. Expertly crafted dishes rely on classic techniques but have a light, modern style, which provides a pleasing contrast to the grandeur of the surroundings. Ingredients are top quality, he isn’t afraid to push the boundaries and, as a proud Welshman, you’ll find a few nods to his homeland too. Desserts are a highlight and service comes with as much polish as the silver."
