NOMINATIONS are being sought for the Calne Civic Awards to celebrate people who have made an outstanding contribution to the town.
The people that you nominate can be a neighbour, community group or even a local business, a Calne Town Council spokesman said.
He added: "The Covid-19 pandemic has been an especially difficult time for us all and the Civic Awards are a way of celebrating members of the community and businesses who have gone above and beyond to provide help, support and care to local residents.
"The awards are split into three categories: Calne Civic Award, Young Citizen Civic Award, Arts and Sports Civic Award. The Civic Awards are there to celebrate those who have supported the community during the pandemic, but also in 'normal' times too.
"If you know of a local person or business who has gone above and beyond for the local community in the last year, for whatever reason, then please do submit a nomination."
The deadline is 5pm Thursday, February 24. They will be presented on March 18 at the annual parish meeting.
