YOUNGSTERS at Pewsey Primary were forced to learn their lessons online at home today on their first day back after Christmas and the New Year because the heating system broke down.

Parents were sent an email regarding the school's closure because classrooms were too cold.

Executive head Nicola Gilbert said: “At present we have no heating and the building is far too cold for the children.

“The engineer has been unable to repair the system during the holidays but is coming tomorrow morning.

“Learning will be available on Google Classroom tomorrow morning, and every class will have a live meet at some point during the day- details will be on individual class pages.

“Please contact the school office in the morning by email if you are unable to log in to Google Classroom.”

Children will go back to school on Thursday (January 6).
