NETWORK Rail has advised that some rail services will be temporarily cancelled from Monday, January 10 as as a result of severe train crew shortages caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The cancellations will affect the following services:
• 05.43 to Swindon
• 06.27 to Melksham, Trowbridge, Westbury, Dilton Marsh, Warminster, Salisbury, Romsey and Southampton
• 06.49 to Bath and Bristol
• 08.16 to Swindon, Didcot, Reading and London
• 21.40 to Bath, Bristol, Nailsea, Yatton, Worle and Weston-super-Mare
• 23.44 to Bath and Bristol
These are the cancellations from Chippenham on weekdays. There are many more affecting different routes too.
Anybody travelling further afield is advised to check before travelling as no alternative transport is being provided
Railway lines will be closed this weekend between Swindon and Didcot for maintenance works.
Trains will be diverted from Bath via Trowbridge and Newbury (non-stop between Bath and Reading).
