Booster jabs for everyone will be available in Marlborough on the three bank holidays and medics are aiming to give them to 3,500 people.

The Kennet and Avon Medical Partnership [KAMP] staff and volunteers will be running clinics at the Marlborough Leisure Centre on Monday December 27, Tuesday December 28 and Monday January 3.

These Covid clinics are bookable through the National Booking Service www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or by calling 119.

A spokeswoman said: “Please do not ring the surgery to book your booster, we cannot book these appointments and we need to keep the phonelines free for those needing medical help over this busy period.”

She added: “The KAMP clinics are open to anyone who is due their booster and is willing to travel to Marlborough, not just KAMP patients. KAMP staff are hoping to deliver boosters to 3,500 people over the three bank holidays.

“All three clinics are manned by KAMP staff and volunteers who without hesitation have given up their bank holidays to help get local people boosted. KAMP staff are very experienced at running Covid vaccination clinics, we vaccinated over 14000 people in 16 clinics in the first 6 months of this year.

“Everyone over the age of 18 who had their second vaccine over three months ago is encouraged to get their booster as soon as possible. For example, if you have a booster booked in a week or two and you can get an appointment sooner, please do so.”
