Air ambulance staff have thanked Jeremy Clarkson after they landed on land he owned near his Diddly Squat Farm shop when responding to an incident nearby.

Crews from Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance were scrambled to a serious crash that had happened on the A361 Burford Road at the junction with Chipping Norton Road shortly after 8pm on Wednesday.

A Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance spokesperson said: “I can confirm that we attended an incident, reported as a road traffic collision in the Chadlington area on Wednesday evening.

One patient was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The Diddly Squat Farm Shop, has become a tourist attraction in the area after featuring on Amazon’s exclusive Clarkson’s Farm television programme with people queuing for hours to get in and Clarkson himself often popping by to greet fans.

Yesterday Wiltshire Air Ambulance took to social media to thank the television star and staff at the farm shop for their hospitality.

“Thank you to Jeremy Clarkson and the team at Diddly Squat Farm Shop for letting us and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance land last night. We send our best wishes to all the patients.”
