Urgent Treatment Centre at GWH to close early today due to upgrading works
THE Urgent Treatment Centre at Great Western Hospital is set to close earlier than usual today.
It will be shut from 6.30pm until 7am due to upgrading works to its patient administration system, which holds important information about the patients.
A GWH spokesperson said: “It will mean that the system will be temporarily unavailable overnight, and we will be reverting to paper based notes during this time.
“Please do not turn up to the Emergency Department as an immediate alternative to the UTC and consider other alternatives first.
“Our staff are doing their very best to care for every patient and we will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse against our staff.”
