TWO crews from Corsham and Chippenham tackled a blaze involving a large amount of garden waste and refuse.

One crew from Corsham was mobilised to a fire by the roadside on Easton Lane at 8.12pm last night.

On arrival the crew confirmed the fire, which was approximately 10 metres by four metres in size, involved a large amount of garden waste and refuse.

A cylinder was also found to be involved and a second fire appliance was requested for water. This came from Chippenham.

The crews used to hose reel jets, two drags and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire, and the cylinder was made safe.
