THE box office opens this week for the Marlborough Literature Festival, which runs from September 30 to October 3.

The festival started in 2009 and is shaping up to be another memorable event for book lovers, with Gill Hornsby and Sarah Winman among the authors appearing.

Swindon-based company StreamWorks will help with the live streaming.

A blurb in the festival's welcome brochure reads: “This is a big year for the festival as we take some of it online as well as using our venues around Marlborough.

"Various venues will be used around the town whilst live events in the town hall will live streamed so people can get a glimpse of the festival online.

“We are able to do this thanks to the support of local partners, a fleet of volunteers, including our own committee members, and new and existing sponsors,"

Tickets can be booked at marlboroughlitfest.org or bought from The White Horse Bookshop from September 2
