Marlborough's independent music store has just announced another top act to add to the list of big names coming to the town this Summer.

Newton Faulkner will be performing at Marlborough College Memorial Hall on Saturday, August 21.

He is coming to promote the release of his brand new album ‘Interference (Of Light)’which is out on the 20th August.

This will be the fifth time that Sound Knowledge has hosted Newton, always a great showman and a real fan favourite.

Chart-topping Tom Grennan has also announced he will be coming to Marlborough.

He will be doing a show in collaboration with Sound Knowledge in Hughenden Yard.

The event will include a performance and a Q and A hosted by YouTube star JaakMaate.

The two artists are among a presitgious a line up of top acts due to come to the town.

The acts range from chart-topping Rag n Bone man to Jake Bugg. The listings run in August and September.

Tom Odell will also be returning for another gig at Marlborough College Memorial Hall in September.

The album promoting gigs kick off with Declan McKenna on August 11, followed by Nothing But Thieves, Jake Bugg, Birdy, Black Honey and Sea Girls.

Both Rag n Bone Man performances have sold out.

The store opened in 1995 and established a name for tenacity in tracking down and obtaining almost any recording.

But the tour stops were totally unexpected. It was to owner Roger Mortimer's surprise that the first act invited to play attracted a crowd.

Fifteen years later, the Marlborough independent is now a firm part of the promotional tour map.
