A BID to build a new barn has been rejected because there was no “need” according to the council.
The applicant, Blockworks, submitted plans to build a new agricultural barn at the former Thoulstone Farm in Thoulstone.
According to the planning statement the building would not result in changes to the existing buildings or the listed farm itself.
Wiltshire Council planning officers, who refused the bid, said: “The applicant has failed to demonstrate that there is a genuine agricultural need and that the building is reasonably necessary for the purposes of agriculture within that unit.”
