AN APPEAL has been launched after Wiltshire Council rejected plans to build a house at an equestrian centre.

The bid by Daffodil Homes would have seen Boomerang Stables in Hungerford redeveloped for the construction of a detached house but was knocked back in March this year.

The local authority’s planning officers, in their decision, said the proposals were in an unsustainable location for residential development.

“The application site is in a location with poor access to services and facilities, where the occupants of the development would have few options for sustainable transport alternatives and would be heavily reliant on the use of private motor vehicle transport,” the council's planning officers added.

Now, Daffodil Homes has appealed against the decision. A date for the hearing has not yet been arranged.

Interested parties who wish to make comment on the bid should contact the planning inspectorate by Thursday, September 2, 2021 (APP/Y3940/W/21/3274344).
