A FRAUDSTER has allegedly conned a Facebook seller out of hundreds of pounds by faking a payment transfer.
The victim had agreed to sell a camera valued at £900 via Facebook on June 1.
The suspect, who travelled to the seller’s home in Lyneham, appeared to enter banking details into an app on his phone and convinced the owner of the camera that it would take some time to transfer.
He left with the camera with no funds having been transferred.
A similar scam has been reported in Swindon.
Wiltshire Police has released a picture of the man they would like to speak to.
Anyone able to identify the suspect should call 101.
