Five schools in the Chippenham constituency are set to benefit from government funding.
The MP for Chippenham, Michelle Donelan said she was “delighted” the government’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) will go to helping schools in her constituencies.
Schools set to receive a share of the £483m scheme in the Chippenham constituency are:
- Queen's Crescent School for toilet refurbishment work
- Corsham Primary School for replacement infilling of glazed rooflights
- The Corsham School for fire safety works
- River Mead School for essential mechanical works
- Ivy Lane Primary School for safeguarding improved boundary fencing
Michelle Donelan said: “I have been making the case to the Minister for the School System regarding the need for this additional money and given that the fund was so oversubscribed it is amazing that we secured the funding for our local schools.
“I really look forward to revisiting these schools to see for myself the positive impact that this capital expenditure has for pupils and teachers”
