A Wiltshire man who twice attacked his pregnant partner dramatically changed his plea when he appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court today.

Connor Wilcox, 23, of Pickwick Villas, Corsham, was charged with two offences of assaulting a woman by beating on separate occasions in Corsham on February 15 and 16.

Wilcox had pleaded not guilty to both charges on February 17 but dramatically changed his plea to guilty when he appeared before magistrates this morning.

The chairman of the bench adjourned his case to 3.30pm on July 20 to enable the Probation Service to prepare pre-sentence reports.

He was ordered not to contact the victim directly or indirectly, and not to enter Royal Wootton Bassett where she now lives.

Willcox appeared in court at Swindon on January 8 charged with assaulting a previous partner in Corsham on November 13 2019.

He had pleaded not guilty to that offence on February 27 2020 but changed his plea to guilty and was fined £540 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £300 and £54 to victim services.
