The number of recorded cases of the delta variant of Covid-19 is on the rise in Wiltshire.
As of June 9, 41 cases of the coronavirus variant have been recorded in the county. An increase of 26 cases from the previous week’s figures which were 15, according to Public Health England.
This comes as Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the new mutation makes up around 91 per cent of new cases in the UK.
In the last seven days 120 new cases have been recorded in Wiltshire which means the seven-day infection rate per 100,000 is 24.
