Wiltshire Council has promised to fully involve the families and residents of Furlong Close in the discussions about the care facility moving forward.
At the first cabinet meeting since the May elections, Lib Dem leader, Ian Thorn asked for assurance that residents and families of the care facility will be “fully involved” moving forward.
The leader of the council, Richard Clewer said the local authority (officers and the administration) would engage with the families of the affected residents.

“Taking views fully on board but that doesn’t mean I can guarantee circumstances will ensure whatever views can be enacted,” he said. “There are a lot of complex issues and I want to make sure we are bearing that in mind.”
Jane Davies, cabinet member for adult social care said: “Of course we are listening and of course we take our responsibilities to every person in Wiltshire who needs support seriously.”
