Avon Needs Trees is inviting people to explore their 34 acre site at Hazeland near Calne.
"There are a fascinating range of habitats at the site" says Nikki Jones, Chair of ANT. "With riverside and hillside meadows, ancient woodland, a stretch of abandoned canal reclaimed by nature, and of course our tree-planting programme. We’re keen for local people to discover more about the wildlife and fascinating heritage.” On May 26 ANT is offering guided tours of Hazeland throughout the day, with each tour lasting approximately 1.5 hours. And on May 30 Neill Talbot from Avellana Ecology will be leading Wildflower Walks around the site.
