Stage 3 of the Government's roadmap comes into force today (Monday, May 17).

Despite the recent spread of the so-called Indian variant, the relaxation of lockdown rules has been allowed to go ahead as planned.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed this last week but urged caution as restrictions lift.

There are concerns Stage 4 of the roadmap, scheduled for June 21, may be pushed back.
