CHART-TOPPING pop star Anne-Marie will be joined by Dizzee Rascal and Clean Bandit for a new festival in Lydiard Park this summer.

More than 30 live acts have been added to the lineup for the first Live at Lydiard outdoor concerts, including a dance tent with performances from Head and Heart hitmaker Joel Corry and DJ sets from legendary music masters Pete Tong and MistaJam.

Plus, homegrown Swindon talent will be showcased in stage takeovers by Play Time and Baila Coffee and Vinyl.

Clean Bandit have racked up tens of millions of sales worldwide with songs including the longest-running UK number one single Rockabye, as well as Symphony and Rather Be.  These electro-pop earworms along with their latest effort Miss You have given the group more UK Top 5 singles than Adele or Bruno Mars.

Grime superstar Dizzee Rascal is one of the most successful British rappers in history, winning the Mercury Prize for his first album Boy in Da Corner when he was just 18 and going on to storm the charts with Bonkerz, Holiday and Dance Wiv Me.

Anne-Marie has shot to stardom in with songs that have been streamed billions of times - and four of them reaching the UK Top 10, including 2002, Friends, and Don’t Play.

Jack Summers is organising this big day of live music which is set to go ahead on August 21.

He said: “For anyone that has been following the festival since its inception in 2020, they’ll know it has always been our goal to provide something truly incredible for the town and we feel that we’ve really kept to that promise.

“It’s an honour to be bringing so many fantastic acts to Swindon, especially amid what has been such a tough 12 months for us all. The programming of this lineup took just under a year to complete.

“It has been an especially difficult challenge for us due to the artists’ touring schedules this year, with many choosing to take a break from shows to focus on songwriting.

“The fact that the confirmed acts are touring this year and so excited to be playing to a real crowd again makes it even more special.

“In a normal year, I’d be looking forward to submerging myself within all the different stages we have and trying to catch as many performances as possible.

“But with the world being the way it is and all the troubles the industry has had, I can’t wait to just throw my arms around my friends and family knowing we’ve made it through. That’s going to be a very special moment.”

As well as the music line-up of 35 performers across four stages – which will include supporting acts CHANEY, SN Dubstation, Fabien Darcy, Mellowmatic, and Paul Caroll – there will be fun and games for people to enjoy.

Funfair rides, a festival food court with 10 trucks offering a variety of cuisine, a mini record fair for vinyl lovers, a boutique cocktail bar in the woods, and after-parties from Pete Tong and Friends at MECA among others.
