The Met Office say the South West of England could be hit the hardest by a bout of prolonged rain, lasting 15 hours on Bank Holiday Monday.
The heavy rain will bring with it strong winds and lower temperatures.
April 2021 had the lowest average minimum temperatures for April in the UK since 1922, as air frost and clear conditions combined for a frost-laden, chilly month, despite long hours of sunshine.
Below is your weather forecast for the next three days.
Friday night:
Showers may become heavy and thundery in places. Winds will be light and variable in direction.
Tonight, showers will ease and it will turn largely dry with only the chance of the odd shower. There will be variable cloud, with a few clear spells for some. A chilly night, with light winds.
Saturday:
Tomorrow, showers will re-establish throughout the morning. These will be heavy for some in the afternoon, with thunder possible too. Continuing cool for the time of year.
Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday:
Sunday will see sunshine in the morning, and scattered showers in the afternoon, some heavy and thundery.
On Monday it will turn increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of blustery rain moving in from the west later. Any rain will end early on Tuesday, leaving the rest of the day blustery and cool. There should be plenty of sunny spells, but the odd shower is still possible.
