Police dogs helped sniff out both cocaine and cannabis from homes in Wiltshire this weekend.

Drugs warrants were executed at properties in both Corsham and Chippenham from 5.30pm on April 9. Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Teams assisted by armed response, search officers and the dog unit carried out the warrants.

Cocaine and cash were seized from Orchard House in Corsham, and a 36-year-old local man was initially arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of criminal property.

At Royal Close in Chippenham, police then seized a quantity of cocaine and cannabis. A man and woman were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs, as well as possession of criminal property.

On Saturday (April 10), the police squads then made their way to Little Down, Chippenham, where a 30-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Another warrant on separate address on Royal Close, Chippenham on Saturday afternoon, and a 33-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. There was also a suspicion that electricity was being extracted.

All those arrested have since been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
