A HORSE enjoyed his first post-lockdown pint in a village pub on Friday.

Frogspawn, complete with mask, enjoyed his drink at the Hook and Glove, in Farley.

Fiona McKee, who runs the pub said: "We figured as a member of staff he was allowed in for his pint."

In February last year, the pub saw a 55 per cent drop in takings, which Fiona said was because Tripadvisor no longer lists her pub as within Salisbury.

She was due to retire in February 2020, but because of the "massive" drop in business, she can no longer afford to.

'Very much looking forward to reopening'

From next week, the pub is open from 5pm on Monday and Wednesday (April 19 and 23), and from 12pm on all other days and the following week.

Last week the pub said it was "very much" looking forward to be reopening and welcoming everybody back.

There is a large, open-sided, marquee in the back garden extra seating outside in all the garden areas.

The pub's opening hours and restrictions will hopefully be reviewed in mid-May.
