TOWN Mayor Cllr Mark Cooper was joined by councillors and officials for a one minute's silence in Marlborough to remember the Duke of Edinburgh whose funeral is being held today.
At 11am yesterday, Father John Blacker, the Mayor's Chaplain, joined the Mayor and councillors in Priory Gardens to formally mark the passing of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Later in the day Cllr Cooper represented the town at a Choral Evensong at Salisbury Cathedral with prayers for His Royal Highness.
The people who took part in the one minute's silence in Marlborough were Cllr Lisa Farrell, Town Clerk Richard Spencer-Williams, Town Crier Mike Tupman, Mayor Cllr Mark Cooper, Mace Bearer Barry Mercer, the Mayor's Chaplain Fr. John Blacker, Cllr Mervyn Hall and Cllr Andrew Ross
