LOCAL arts and crafts businesses in the Trowbridge area are being urged to showcase their items at a new Maker's Market.

The call comes from the town's Castle Place shopping centre which is launching a new Maker's Market on Saturday May 1.

Spokeswoman Donna Stephens said: "We are hoping to encourage any local arts and crafts businesses to come and showcase their items, as well as making use of the massive amount of space available in the market hall."

The centre plans to hold the Maker's Market on the first Saturday of each month, the dates being May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2 and November 6.

There are 16 stalls committed to the first three dates, but anyone wishing to book a space should contact Donna.Stephens@cpssp.co.uk.

Trowbridge is also ready to welcome back the popular monthly street market which is being held at the historic Innox Mills on Sunday April 18 from 9am to 3pm.
