NHS workers celebrated in a calendar has helped raise £3,000 for NHS Charities Together.

Rotary Club of Royal Wootton Bassett Town sold its annual calendar with photos of workers and scenes of the town.

A spokesperson for the rotary club said: "The rotary club would like to thank residents of the town and surrounding area for purchasing the calendar, and to local businesses who via sponsorship have enabled us to produce the calendar."

The presentations of the cheque was held over Zoom by the club president Colin Sweet to Annabelle Feetenby, the fundraising executive at NHS Charities Together.

The charity is the umbrella organisation for the country’s NHS charities with 241 members.

In thanking the club for the donation, Annabelle explained that in the last 12 months the £140 million raised by the charity has enabled invaluable support during the Covid pandemic to provide support and comforts to both staff, volunteers and patients over and above that which the NHS can provide.
