Chippenham: Parts of a Chippenham road will close this week to allow the council to carry out road works. On April 10, New Road from its junction with Ivy lane to where it meets with Station Hill will be closed for four days. During this time, Wiltshire Council will undertake road resurfacing and other works.
Drivers are urged to take the Ivy Lane, Bridge Centre, Bath Road, The Bridge and the unaffected lengths of New Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion routes will however be clearly signposted. A spokesman for the council said access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible.

Devizes: Parts of Elizabeth Way will be closed from May 10. The road will be closed from its junction with Cunnington Close to allow for manholes on the road to be repaired. 
No alternative routes have been made available, but access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. The works are expected to be finished on May 12. 

Melksham: Wiltshire Scaffolding of 20 Beech Avenue is applying for a licence to use Boundary Farm, 620 Berryfield Lane as an operating centre for one goods vehicle. 

Collingbourne Kingston: Ben King of Cloverlait Ltd in Glastonbury has applied to build a portable steel building at Manor Farm. The building would be used to house a milking parlour, pumps and cooling equipment together with two 12,000 Litre milk tanks on adjacent concrete pad. The bid would also see Mr King build a new concrete yard, earth banked, lined slurry lagoon, hardcore turning circle, hardstanding area for the siting of temporary herdman's accommodation and the formation of new hardcore access track from Mill Drove Lane. 

Southwick: Ian Cundick and Alice Cundick trading as Magic Waste Solutions of 26 Bences Lane, Costa are applying for a goods vehicle operators licence to use Unit 2, The Yard, 3 Poplar Tree in Southwick as the operating centre for three goods vehicles.

Lacock: Joseph Mark Brunt, trading under J M Brunt Livestock has applied to change an existing licence to allow the company to keep an additional two goods vehicles and three trailers at its operating centre at Clanville House Stanton St. Quintin.

Calne: Turner Landscapes Ltd of 4 The Rise is applying for a licence to use Wessington Cabins, London Road in Calne as an operating centre for one goods vehicle.

Westbury: On March 24 Wiltshire Council put in effect a new Road Traffic Regulation order on the A350 Trowbridge Road and Mays Drive in Westbury with a new speed limit of 40mph. This affects the A350 Trowbridge Road from a point 111m south of Millbrook Roundabout in a northerly direction to a point 160m north of that roundabout.

And Mays Drive from its junction with Millbrook Roundabout for a length of 12m east.
