A PARTY on heathland broke Covid safety guidelines as people in eight vehicles turned up to meet around a bonfire.
Firefighters from Swanage responded to a call about a large bonfire near to Little Sea Studland at 11.35pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The bonfire was lit by people having a Covid breach party attended by occupants of up to eight vehicles.
"Police quickly escorted the attendees away while crews dealt with the fire by extinguishing it using a hose reel jet from the station's off road land vehicle."
