THREE crews responded to a broken boiler this morning.
Crews from Trowbridge, Corsham and Westbury raced to a commercial factory on the main road through Staverton at around 7am.
Fire control stood down the Corsham crew before it arrived.
The other two crews fully isolated the boiler and found that the factory's safety system had activated and suppressed any potential fire.
DW Fire Control's Twitter originally suggested that the boiler had exploded, but this was incorrect and the Tweet was deleted.
Trowbridge, Westbury & Corsham were mobilised to Staverton where an explosion was heard in the area followed by visible smoke. Crews arrived to find a boiler had exploded in the premises but safety system had activated and worked to suppress the fire and prevent any fire spread.
