Devizes: Parts of Elizabeth Way will be closed from May 10. The road will be closed from its junction with Cunnington Close to allow for manholes on the road to be repaired.

No alternative routes have been made available, but access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. The works are expected to be finished on May 12.

Corsham: From April 6, the Cross Keys route of the A420 Bristol Road will be closed. The road will be closed for to allow Wiltshire Council to remove an ash tree which has been effected by ash dieback.

Cross Keys Biddestone will be closed from its junction with Cross Keys, Corsham for about 80 metres. Drivers are urged to take the unaffected lengths of the road, and the diversions will be clearly signed.

Southwick: Ian Cundick and Alice Cundick trading as Magic Waste Solutions of 26 Bences Lane, Costa are applying for a goods vehicle operators licence to use Unit 2, The Yard, 3 Poplar Tree in Southwick as the operating centre for three goods vehicles.

Melksham: Wiltshire Scaffolding of 20 Beech Avenue is applying for a licence to use Boundary Farm, 620 Berryfield Lane as an operating centre for one good vehicle.

Chippenham: German supermarket giant, Lidl, has applied for a licence to sell alcohol at its Chippenham branch on Pension Way.

It is proposed that the shop will sell alcohol for consumption off premises between 7am and 11pm Monday to Sunday. To comment on the licence bid, concerned parties should write to the Wiltshire Council licensing team at County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN.

Chippenham: Parts of New Road in Chippenham from its junction with the A420 Ivy Lane to where it meets Station Hill will be close.

This is to allow Wiltshire Council to carry out road resurfacing. These works were initially scheduled to take place in January, but have now been set for April 4 and are set to be completed on April 12.

Drivers are asked to take the unaffected length of New Road, The Bridge and Bath Road. The closure and diversions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

Marlborough: Image Cinemas has applied for new premises licence at The Parade Cinema in Marlborough.

The company will allow for the sale for alcohol to be consumers on-site at the cinema between 9am and 11pm Monday to Sunday.

The bid also includes a bid to have live in and outdoor music Monday to Sunday between 9am and 10pm and recorded music between the same hours. Screenings, as proposed by Image Cinemas, will be screened between 9am and midnight all week.

Ludgershall: Rose Moss trading as R M Equine of 22 Simonds Road, has applied for a goods vehicle licence to use Tedworth Saddle Club, Humber Lane, Tedworth as an operating centre for one goods vehicle.

Marlborough: Springs Cook has applied for a premises licence for Springs of Marlborough, 5 Old Hughenden Yard, High Street to enable them to sell alcohol for consumption on and off premises Monday to Tuesday 11am to 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday 11am to 11pm and Sunday 11am to 10pm.

With the same hours proposed for the playing of recorded music.
