The mystery behind the missing £1,000 chewed up by a Marlborough ATM has been solved.

Neil Hall lost the cash when trying to deposit the money in a Nationwide ATM in the High Street.
Neil was so desperate after hitting a brick wall with both the police and the bank that he offered a cash reward for any help.
The bank had claimed the envelope was not in its machine, but Neil claims he never saw the envelope get spat out.
“The only other option is that someone took the envelope when it was spat out and I wasn’t there,” he told the Gazette and Herald.
"But thankfully the bank have now been in touch to say that they have found it.
"All very stressful and frustrating, but I am very relieved."

The drama started around 9.30am on Wednesday when Neil said the machine appeared faulty and out of deposit envelopes.
“There was a lady behind me, and another person queuing.  The envelope did not come back out.  So I decided to wait until the bank opened to sort it out.  I went to move my car, which was parked further down the High Street, and came straight back.
“But the bank said nothing had been deposited, and more worryingly, no record of the deposit had shown up.”

Neil was depositing the cash from the sale of a camping awning and says he is delighted to now have the cash back to take his family on a camping holiday later in the year.
Nationwide said they couldn't comment on specific cases, but provided this statement: "Every day our members use our ATMs to help them manage their money, whether that is taking money out or paying money in.
" On the very rare occasion a member has an issue we have processes in place to ensure we get to the bottom of what has happened and put it right.
"We would like to reassure our members our ATMs are reliable and robust."
