Here are some of the cases heard before Swindon and Wiltshire magistrates courts.

Chippenham: A 23-year-old man has been sent for trial accused of rape and sexual assault of a young teenage girl.

Alan Thomas Thursby of Royal Close is accused of having penetrative sex with a girl under the age of 13 without her consent.

He is accused of forcing her to have oral sex, and of intentionally penetrating her when she did not consent, and he did not reasonably believe she was consenting.

The charges state this happened at least 20 times.

He has been sent for trial at Swindon Crown Court under the the Crime and Disorder Act.

Chippenham: 29-year-old Reece Daniel Carter of Wood Lane has been remanded on conditional bail after pleading guilty to sending abusive and aggressive text messages to a woman. He has been ordered to not contact two women, or go to Ashe Crescent in Chippenham. He is also accused of beating a woman, and has pleaded guilty ahead of a further hearing in April.

Trowbridge: A 34-year-old man from Francis Street has denied beating a woman. Lee Weston has been given unconditional bail to appear again in April.

UPDATE: Lee Weston was found not guilty at Salisbury Court on April 8.

Warminster: Jason Williams, 35, of East Street has denied beating a woman, and has been remanded on the condition that he does not contact the woman. The trial is set for May.

Royal Wootton Bassett: Mahdi Zada, 40, of Wood Street has been found guilty of damaging a car belonging to another man and of attacking the same man. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.

Trowbridge: 34-year-old James Smith of Broad Street pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth £200 from Tesco. He was given a community order to do 40 hours of unpaid work for the next 12 months. He also admitted stealing £150 worth of meat from Lidl and more alcohol worth £150 from Asda.

Chippenham: Ryan Parfitt, 22, of Wood Lane pleaded guilty to threatening violence towards another as was fined £576. He was told to pay a surcharge of £57 and costs of £85.

Royal Wootton Bassett: Nicholas Bray, 24, of no fixed abode has been fined £100 after he admitted breaking a window belonging to Guys and Dolls Salon in Calne. He also admitted damaging a police car.

Devizes: Serving Erlestoke prisoner William 'Billy' Goffett has been given an 18 week suspended prison sentence after he admitted threatening and violent behaviour. He is already serving a sentence for another crime and the sentence is suspended for a year. He also admitted assaulting a police officer and was told to pay £50 compensation.

Devizes: A man has been found guilty of keeping a young child of school age out of school. The case was brought by Wiltshire Council and the man was fined £60, ordered to pay costs of £180 and a surcharge of £32.

Marlborough: A teenage boy has been referred to Wiltshire youth offender panel for four months after pleading guilty to beating another male.

Calne: Spence Morgan, 44, of Bluebell Grove admitted failing to provide a specimen when he was stopped has been fined £250 and told to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge. He was banned from driving for 21 days and had his license endorsed.

Westbury: 33-year-old Jamie O'Rourke of Hawkridge Park has been disqualified from driving for 20 months and fined £400 after he admitted drink driving.

Shrewton: George Babey of Whatcombe Brow has admitted breaching the requirements of a community order by failing to turn up to appointments. The 37 year old has been remanded on unconditional bail for a mental health assessment.

Chippenham: 40-year-old Trevor Beavon-Witts of Wessex Road pleaded guilty to stealing and damaging a car. He was given a community order and tagged, to stay under curfew between noon and 10pm daily until the end of April. He was also ordered to pay £1,500 compensation and was banned from driving for a year.

Warminster: Aiden Donovan, 34, of Langholm Avenue has been found guilty of beating a man and a woman and damaging a grandfather clock.

He has been remanded on bail and told not to contact the victims.
