Melksham: C Stainer Transport of 3 Dean Close in Melksham has applied to change an existing licence to add an operating centre to keep one goods vehicle and one trailer at Hanger 7, Lancaster Road in Bowerhill.

Westbury: Skip It Recycling of 19A Washington Road has put in a bid to change its existing Goods Vehicle Operator’s Licence to allow the company to keep an additional five goods vehicles at its West Wilts Trading Estate operating centre.

Melksham: Footpath 20 will be closed from Monday, March 22 for six months to allow for compound construction of a new campus. The footpath will be closed from where it meets Footpath 21 to its junction with Footpath 101. An alternative route will be provided to the east and the closure and new route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

Westbury: The Auction Hub (Wessex) has applied for a new licence to sell alcohol. The Premises Licence, if granted, will allow The Auction Hub to sell alcohol from Unit 1A on the Woodlands Industrial Estate. Pewsey: The Lawn Farm Shop in Little Salisbury has applied to the local authority for a premises licence. The new licence, if approved, will see the shop sell alcohol between 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays. Tytherton Lucas: Alicia Laughton, trading under Armada Stud, of Bosmere Farm has applied for a licence for the Tytherton Lucas farm to be used as an operating centre for one goods vehicle.

Westbury: The council has ordered the temporary closure of Footpath 60 from where it meets Footpath 15 to its junction with Footpath 46 (Dilton Marsh). This is to enable Wessex Water to repair a water main leak near the footpaths. An alternative route can be found by using Footpaths 18, 21 and 43. The closure and diversions will be clearly marked by signs in the area. The order, which came into place on Monday, lasts for 14 weeks.

Chippenham: Part of the B4528 Saltersford Lane from its junction with the B4528 Showell to its junction with Easton Lane is being closed. The closure will let Flynn Limited carry out drainage works to serve a new housing development. An alternative route is along the unaffected length of the B4528, the A4 and the A350 and vice versa.
