PINK Floyd drummer Nick Mason and his wife Annette are to stage open garden days for thousands of visitors at their home in Corsham.

The annual event at Middlewick House in Middlewick Lane, Corsham, was cancelled last year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

But the couple have agreed to stage two open days this year to raise funds for the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, of which Mrs Mason is a vice-patron, and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

Jennie Shaw, director of the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, said: "No doubt you have been watching Boris’s announcements closely. Middlewick Open Garden seemed doomed.

"However, Nick and Annette Mason have kindly agreed to reschedule to the June 26/27 two weeks later.

"It's such a relief to the Air Ambulance and the Bobby Van teams. I am so grateful to the Masons and I look forward to seeing you soon."

The event attracts thousands of visitors to admire the gardens and Mr Mason's fleet of supercars collected over his career as a musician.
