Dauntsey Academy Primary School have celebrated the memory of Captain Sir Tom by focusing on his amazing life for a day.
Children working from home joined their classmates at school by dressing up in red, white and blue colours.
Each class did a live online session with home learners to share stories and information about Captain Sir Tom, reflecting on his achievements and thinking about what great lessons he taught.
Inspired by Sir Tom’s book ‘One Hundred Steps', children at home and school were also set a challenge to run or walk laps in his honour, those at the school school completed 100 laps of the school site during the day.
Those learning at school finally came together for a commemorative photograph in their class bubbles which they will share with the Captain Tom Foundation.
