WILTSHIRE care provider Candlelight Care has given its staff an extra day's holiday to thank them for their continuing efforts during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Like so many other frontline care staff, they have worked tirelessly throughout the past year to ensure the vulnerable people they support receive their care visits.
Candlelight’s board has recognised this, and decided to award the additional day’s holiday so that staff can relax and reflect on the challenges they have faced in their workplaces in the past 12 months.
Cherry Catley-Day, proprietor of Candlelight Care, said: “The past year has been one of the most challenging for a generation.
"This gesture is our way of showing our gratitude to our staff for their continued work and sacrifice.”
Candlelight Care is a family-run company offering homecare and live-in care services in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and East Sussex.
Based in Glastonbury, Somerset, it has provided home care for people of all ages for more than 30 years. The company's services are rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.
