A police appeal has been made in a bid to reunite a lost dog with his rightful owner.
Officers in Chippenham found the dog in Notton, just south of the town, earlier this morning. (February 18)
They believe it had also been spotted in the area yesterday.
The dog is male with a yellow collar, but no tag, and has not been microchipped.
It has now been collected by one Wiltshire Council's animal welfare officers and is being kept safe and well until its owner can be located.
If it is your dog please call Wiltshire Council on 0300 4560107.
You will need to provide proof of ownership.
UPDATE: The dog has been found after the owner came forward after the police appeal
The owner made contact with the council and has collected the dog from their holding kennels.
