A virtual round-table has been held to address the anxieties surrounding topics such as the coronavirus pandemic and Brexit.
Chippenham MPMichelle Donelan, MP for Devizes Danny Kruger and Wiltshire Council leader Philip Whitehead recently took part with businesses from across the county in the first in a series of meetings organised by the South West’s largest and most influential business group, Business West.
More than 50 local businesses logged on to get answers to their questions.
Ian Larrard, director of the Swindon and Wiltshire Initiative at Business West said: “In Universities Minister Michelle Donelan, Devizes MP Danny Kruger and Cllr Philip Whitehead local businesses have true allies both locally and in Westminster to advocate on their behalf.
“Replicating our hugely successful MPs and Council Leader meetings in Swindon, I am delighted by the enthusiasm with which the event was met in the business community, making for a lively and informed discussion.
“Thank you to each of our representatives for taking the time to engage with the business community during this crucial period for the local economy.”
Chair of GreenSquare Group Robin Bailey attended the event and added it was "a really valuable opportunity" to network.
Future events will be held throughout 2021 in April, July and October.
