One Market Lavington schoolboy has a strict message for irresponsible dog owners across Wiltshire.

Noah Plumridge is frequently forced to jump out the path of dog poo on his way to school, and has now taken it upon himself to create posters and put them up across the village.

The seven-year-old, who goes to St Barnabas School, said: “We walk to school three days a week and the tracks we walk on have been littered with poo for a while now. I was getting fed up of my Mum shouting ‘POO’ or ‘Watch where you are walking.’

“So on Tuesday I decided to make some posters which we are sticking on the trees on the track where we walk.”

Active Noah, who supports Manchester United (Marcus Rashford is his favourite) and plays a lot of football hopes “naughty” dog owner’s will now keep the paths clear for other young people.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

He added: “I hope that my posters will get people to pick up their dog poo and put it in one of the bins in the village. There are lots of bins.”

Noah’s mum, Catherine, said: “As I don’t drive we walk to school three days a week and even though it is a long walk he gets on with it and helps me with the buggy on the tracks as it is not safe for us to use the road.

“However the past few weeks he is getting fed up with all the dog mess left particularly on the tracks we walk on although dog mess in general in the village has been a problem for a while now!

“I am super proud that Noah took it upon himself to make some posters to put up - it shows that he cares about the community that we live in and the thoughtfulness for others as he doesn’t want others to end up standing in it.

"I hope he continues to grow to be grateful of his surroundings and they if the mess around the village continues maybe he’ll be busy making more posters!
