A Marlborough man is accused of breaching the terms of a court order by staying overnight in a house with children without the say-so of a police officer.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court, Jason Collins, 27, of Kingsbury Street, Marlborough, pleaded not guilty to a single charge of breaching his sexual harm prevention order.
It is alleged he stayed overnight on January 17, 2021, at a property in Marlborough where two children were also living.
The terms of his sexual harm prevention order, imposed in 2010 at North Hampshire Magistrates’ Court, specify that he must not live in the same household as any female under-18 without the express approval of social services and the police.
Collins, who had until this week been homeless and living in a tent in Hampshire, denies all wrongdoing.
He was bailed to attend Swindon Magistrates’ Court on March 5 for his trial.
Kate Prince appeared for the Crown Prosecution Service. Collins was represented by Paul Gilmartin.
