Warminster Library was forced to close today after one of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19.
Following public health guidance the library will close pending a deep clean after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Council said: “The library is expected to reopen on January 19 to facilitate the order and collect service and for people who have booked a slot to use the computers.”
Cabinet member for libraries, Ian Blair-Pilling said “ We have followed all the correct measures and library users can be assured that it is as safe as possible for people to visit the library when we reopen.
“We apologise for the inconvenience of the short closure but the safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors remains our absolute priority.
“It’s a challenging time to run services such as this but I’d like to thank our staff and volunteers for everything they’re doing at the moment.”
Unfortunately we won’t be able to open Warminster Library tomorrow due to one of our team contracting COVID-19.
