Marlborough is gearing up its volunteer force again as the town's mayor rallies the community spirit.

"We are contacting all of our volunteers to gauge their feelings on coming together in the same way as before the lockdown." said a spokesperson. "We will be sending round a reminder to those who may need help again and that we are here to make sure that prescriptions are picked up, shopping done and that there is a friendly voice at the end of the phone."

Marlborough's mayor, Cllr Mark Cooper said:

"I call on everyone in the town to once again show the amazing community spirit and resilience that the people of Marlborough have shown constantly since March last year.

"It’ll be hard, especially for businesses but by doing this, looking out for each other and staying safe I am sure that we will get through these next tough few weeks and hopefully all be able to look forward to some happier times very soon".
