THE Co-op supermarket in Corsham has reopened today after undergoing a deep clean following positive Covid-19 tests on up to nine staff.
The store was closed yesterday but reopened this morning following the deep cleaning operation.
It is understood that up to nine staff at the store in the Martingate Centre in Corsham are now self-isolating at home.
The Manchester-based group said a "very small number" of staff had returned positive tests for the Covid coronavirus after falling ill following the Christmas festive period.
A Co-op spokesperson said: “I can confirm that the Co-op in Corsham (1 Martingate) is fully open for our customers.
"As a precaution, the store underwent a deep clean yesterday and we are delighted to continue to serve the great Corsham community.
“The store is running as normal and a very small number of colleagues are self-isolating as a precaution.”
