Devizes Rotary ran a successful street collection, for their hamper project, in the Brittox this month.
Rotarian Alison Batchelor, who’s been organising the distribution of Devizes Rotary Hampers for many years said: “As a result of our recent money raising efforts, we’ll once again be able to donate a Christmas Hamper to deserving families in and around Devizes. This I’m sure will be very welcome news for the families concerned, particularly this year given the economic uncertainty caused by the pandemic.”
The President of Devizes Rotary, Kelsey Greenaway, added: “The other great news is that as well as being able to continue the tradition of distributing hampers, We’ll also be able to support a number of other worthwhile causes with cash donations to help them through the coming weeks and months.”
Almost £3,000 has been spread between charities such as Devizes Food Bank, Devizes Opportunity Centre, Julia’s House and Canon’s House.
