FREE sanitary products are being given out in a battle against period poverty in Britain.
The Swindon & Wiltshire Pride pop-up shop will open on Wednesday in the Brunel Centre after it was forced to close because of government restrictions.
And the charity will offer a range of free sanitary products when it returns.
Phoenix Stewart, the charity’s community engagement and inclusion manager, said: “Over the last few weeks, we’ve had time to think about how we could provide additional support to the community through our shop when we reopen. That’s why throughout December we will be offering free sanitary products to anyone who needs them. With many people in Britain unable to afford sanitary products, we wanted to reach out to those struggling at this difficult time.”
