Eddie the Eagle
EDDIE ’the Eagle’ Edwards is urging the people of Swindon to open up about mental health.
The former ski jumper – who famously represented Great Britain at the 1988 Winter Olympics – joined forces with the Mental Health Support Campaign – Swindon Facebook group.
In a video, he said: “Hello Swindon, Eddie the Eagle here. I’d like to ask you to support the Mental Health Support Campaign for Swindon, for everybody’s sake.
“Let’s talk about mental health. Thank you.”
Edwards – real name Michael - was portrayed by Taron Egerton in the film Eddie the Eagle in 2016.
