A MAN has appeared in court in connection with an assault allegedly committed five days before Christmas last year.
Rory Curran, 33, faces a single charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
It is alleged he caused serious injuries to a man in Malmesbury on December 20, 2019, with intent to cause him serious harm.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning, Curran, of Michael Pyms Road, Malmesbury, entered no pleas to the charge.
The allegation, an offence under section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act, is so serious that pleas can only be taken at the crown court.
Magistrates bailed Curran to appear before Swindon Crown Court on December 18.
Curran was represented in court by Liz Highams. Nick Barr appeared for the Crown.
