TWO people were taken to hospital in Bath with minor injuries following a single vehicle crash near Bradford on Avon on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene between Winsley Road and Ashley Lane near Bradford on Avon Rugby Football Club, at around 2.30pm.

A vehicle left the road and collided with a stone wall at the side of the B3108.

Wiltshire Police said: “We were called just after 2pm today to a single vehicle RTC – a car had collided with a wall near Ashley Lane, Winsley.

“The fire service is on the scene and closed the road and the ambulance service is also on scene.”

The male driver and his passenger were taken to the Royal United Hospital for treatment. Both suffered minor injuries.

A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said two crews attended from Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge.

She added: “Firefighters made the scene safe and assisted with casualty care but neither of the two people in the vehicle needed to be cut free.”

The Winsley Road was closed in both directions until the scene was cleared at 5.45pm.
